In the event that the home that you are looking for is NOT located in a Rural Development approved region, there are other ZERO down alternatives that you may consider. Sometimes good credit and a down payment are not enough to qualify for a home loan at a commercial lending institution, such as a bank, savings and loan or with a mortgage broker. That is why the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has provided a loan program that allows more rural families and individuals to be eligible to become homeowners with the help of a USDA guaranteed home loan. If the home you are wanting to purchase for Zero Down is NOT eligible for USDA financing, consider looking into the House Key State Bond First Time Homebuyer Program with Dan Keller. A 5-hour homebuyer education course is required to receive the State Bond that is allowed to be used for your down payment up to $10,000. The class is sponsored by the Washington State Finance Commission and is taught by House Key Approved Lender Dan Keller.
